Yes, in many cases we can. To do some light warping, we would tend to plane the edge, add/subtract hinges, and even install new weatherstripping to get the door to close. On cracks, we apply wood filler, glue, and clamps, and sand and touch up. When the wood is rotten or the warp is serious, it will not last long to repair. In those cases we talk honestly about replacement so you do not waste money on a quick patch.

How do I know if my door needs replacement instead of repair?

Answer

In my experience, the door has to be replaced when the frame is rotten, the slab is in a deplorable condition, or the door never fits within a span of any more than a week. When you put the hinges back into place, and the same hole is reappearing, there is something wrong with the structure. Energy loss also matters. If you still feel strong drafts after proper seals and hinges, a new insulated door can be the better long term move.
